Oppn leaders take out march demanding revocation of suspension of 12 RS members

Leaders of assorted opposition events took out a protest march on Tuesday in assist of their demand for revoking the suspension of 12 Rajya Sabha MPs.

Opposition MPs of the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha participated within the march from the Gandhi statue within the Parliament advanced to Vijay Chowk.

Former Congress chief Rahul Gandhi alleged that the Opposition shouldn’t be being allowed to boost points in Parliament, which is now merely a constructing and a museum.

“Wherever the Opposition is making an attempt to boost points, they’re suppressed. The federal government doesn’t permit us to boost points. That is homicide of democracy. We need to elevate points in opposition to the federal government, however we aren’t allowed to take action,” he instructed reporters.

Gandhi additionally mentioned the prime minister doesn’t come to Parliament and “this isn’t the way in which to run a democracy”.

“Now we have right here our suspended members. That is the image of democracy of the nation and that is the image of crushing of the voice of the folks of India. They’ve been suspended for 2 weeks now. They’re sitting outdoors and their voice has been crushed. We aren’t being allowed to debate necessary points.

“This isn’t the way in which to run Parliament. The prime minister doesn’t come to the Home. Each time we need to elevate a problem, we’re stopped from doing so. This can be a very unlucky killing of democracy that’s going down,” he mentioned.

The 12 Opposition MPs have been suspended from the Rajya Sabha on November 29 for the whole Winter session of Parliament for his or her “unruly” conduct within the earlier session in August.

The Opposition has described the suspension as “undemocratic and in violation of all of the Guidelines of Process” of the Higher Home of Parliament.
